Expressions of Interest Open - BOARD MEMBERS
Help shape the future of a community organisation making a real difference.
Our Community Project (OCP) is seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and committed individuals interested in joining our Board of Directors.
Our work includes community development programs and events, financial inclusion through No Interest Loans (NILS), supporting arts and culture through Culture Bank, funeral services through Tender Funerals Illawarra, as well as other social enterprises and initiatives that strengthen connection, inclusion and community wellbeing.
We welcome applications from people with a genuine commitment to community and an interest in contributing to our renewed strategic plan.
We are looking for people who can contribute
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience or skills in areas such as:
Marketing, communications and brand development
Information technology, systems and digital transformation
Fundraising, philanthropy and grant development
Social Enterprise and Service Delivery
Community Social Impact and Outcomes Measurement
Business development and strategic planning
OCP Directors contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the organisation, including oversight of organisational performance, financial sustainability, risk and compliance. Directors are expected to prepare for and actively participate in Board meetings and contribute their experience and perspective to Board discussions and decision-making.
These are voluntary, unpaid Director positions and the board meets most months on the last Wednesday of the month.
Applicants do not need to have experience across all of these areas. We are seeking a complementary mix of skills, experience and community perspectives across the Board.

1. A short expression of interest (no more than two pages) outlining (i) Why you are interested in joining the OCP Board (ii) the skills, experience or perspective you would bring and (iii) your connection to, or interest in, the Illawarra community.
2. Your current CV or professional profile.
