For the first time in our region, a coffin-free, fully shrouded cremation has taken place — led by the team at Tender Funerals in collaboration with Shoalhaven Bereavement Services.
This didn’t just happen overnight. It took months of advocacy, innovation, and determination to challenge long-standing practices and make something more meaningful possible.
From rethinking how a cremator is used, to designing new processes that prioritise dignity and care — every detail was considered to ensure families now have a genuine alternative.
