Benefits of Women learning DIY with Nina at Our Community Project

Learning DIY has many benefits; some people learn DIY because it saves them a bit of money. Others learn so they don't need to rely on a professional for help with simple projects they could do if they had the know-how.

Autonomy and becoming self-sufficient by learning simple tricks and tips on using tools to improve their living space is economically and emotionally rewarding.

DIY equally helps improve women's confidence. By learning how to create, build and repair things on their own, women build confidence in themselves by problem-solving projects in a tangible way.

A few BENEFITS OF DIY

  1. It's obvious you're saving money

  2. Learning a Valuable Skill

Fixing things yourself around the house helps you to understand how everything works. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a carpenter, you'll be able to resolve the issue yourself without panicking about how much it will cost in labour.

3. It's good for your physical health.

Depending on your project's size, losing weight will help you lose pounds because of exercise. However, you'll be so excited and busy with that project that you can forget to eat.

4. DIY Sharpen your brain.

As you fix or create projects around the house, eventually, you will learn how to do more with the tools you have and want to build more complex tasks.

 5. Getting involved in the community

Coming to Nina's DIY, you will also meet other women working on their projects. Not only creating and building projects but also creating and building friendships!
